ABOUT

I know exactly what you're going through, because I lived it. I grew up dancing with the goal of becoming a professional ballet dancer, but I experienced so many injuries throughout my dancing career, that I couldn’t do what I dreamed of doing.

Having experienced the benefits of Pilates during my own rehabilitation, I understand the necessity of focusing on the small details to fine-tune functional movement patterns and create balance within the body in order to reduce the risk of future injuries and rehabilitate current ones.

What makes me unique is my ability to blend my love for athletic conditioning with my knowledge of anatomy, movement and injury rehabilitation, to create safe and effective workouts for my clients.

Having been a ballet dancer all my life, I know what it's like to have the desire to move and be challenged, but I also understand how injuries happen and how to exercise intelligently and work around them. Just because you have an injury doesn't mean you will be broken forever. I am living proof!

Hey there!,

I'm a goofy science nerd and anatomy lover (you will learn to love that about me), but I'm also an artist. Once a dancer, always a dancer!

I pride myself on being curious and always wanting to learn more about the body so I can better serve my clients & stay up to date on current research. I love teaching Pilates because it can be used to help accomplish a wide variety of goals, it never gets boring!

I enjoy incorporating my knowledge of biomechanics, my experience with injury prevention, and my passion for STOTT PILATES® to create innovative, fun, and challenging workouts for my clients as well as passing my knowledge and experience on to aspiring instructors.

When I was 17, I tore the labral cartilage in my hip and had to have surgery. I thought I was going to be broken and unable to dance forever. I found Pilates as part of my rehab and my life has forever been changed.

While unfortunate at the time, my hip injury ultimately helped lead me onto my current career path and taught me valuable information about my body and the struggles of rehabilitation. Pilates was an integral part of my successful rehabilitation, and I credit Pilates as the reason I was able to dance again.

Pilates taught me the correct body mechanics and helped me gain the strength to maintain proper pelvic and spinal alignment and prevent future injuries. Not only did Pilates help rehabilitate me, but it helped my overall dance performance by teaching me how to move more efficiently and by balancing my hypermobility with strength.

My superpower is helping people heal from their injuries & become stronger than they ever thought possible.

With me you'll find someone to make you laugh and support you as you learn how Pilates can give you a strong resilient body and help you enjoy the process.

A guiding principle in my business is educating you about your body as you workout. The more you know, the better you can protect yourself from injury, the longer you can stay active!

I attended the University of South Florida, where I received a B.A. in Dance Studies with a concentration in Exercise Science and a B.S. in Biology. Upon completion of my degrees, I became a Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor in 2013 and became a Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer in 2016.

I thrive on being creative and innovative and am constantly adding more to my repertoire by training in other movement modalities in order to benefit my clients- including Pilates Suspension Method, TRX, and Fascial Movement. I have also expanded my repertoire to better assist clients with Neurological issues, such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease, as well as Hypermobility Syndromes such as Ehler’s Danlos. I always look forward to continuing my education and make it a priority in my life so that I can continue to combine the most current scientific knowledge with Pilates.
